It does not work with a fresh install on the same computer with ubuntu 14.04. It does not work with A new computer running 15.10. It fills like some misconfiguration. I cannot find what it is. I have been using HDPVR for several years. This is the first time that I gave up on it.</div><div><br></div><div>Can I create my own tuner, which will basically be doing cat /dev/video0 > video-file (or video2). works But when I try to play live tv I get an error"?<br>

To me that sounds like a MythTV misconfiguration problem.<br>
