</span>Well, that is clearly up for debate. There are those that<br>
believe all broadcasters should add in a few hours of<br>
padding after every live game that is not time limited<br>
and fill it with "useless commentary" (is that redundant?).<br>
However, that goes against the commercial realities that<br>
no company would pay for commercials on the "useless<br>
commentary" shows (and the broadcasters are not in<br>
this to intentionally lose money).<br>

There are also some that believe that if 60 minutes is<br>
scheduled to start at 7pm, it should start then. And<br>
that goes against the contracts that CBS has signed<br>
with the NFL (after the Heidi game fiasco the NFL<br>
changed future broadcast contracts to require that<br>
the broadcasters show the games until the end,<br>
special circumstances excepted of course).<br>

AFAICT, the only way this works is if all sports programs<br>
move to PPV channels. Which sort of happens now, and<br>
may expand with the realities of the prices that the sports<br>
times want to be paid.<br>

Created the following power search:<br><br>program.title = 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' AND DAYNAME(CONVERT_TZ(program.starttime,'Etc/UTC','SYSTEM'))='Thursday' AND channel.callsign='WIVB-HD'<br><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Gave it a higher priority. Told it to record 90 minutes longer. When I test the recording rule, it finds the two Thursday night broadcasts. When I set it to record and look at upcoming recordings, the two Thursdays airings say they're being recorded under the standard Colbert rule. Shouldn't the higher priority kick in the power search one?<br></div></div>
