I got LIRC running on this CentOS 6.6 host. I cannot remember what I
did to get it working. Yeah, it wasn't working at first.

$lsusb
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0471:0815 Philips (or NXP) eHome Infrared
    Receiver

$ rpm -qa |grep lirc
lirc-0.9.0-8.el6.x86_64
lirc-libs-0.9.0-8.el6.x86_64
lirc-remotes-0.9.0-8.el6.x86_64

It's running with the default driver and using /dev/lirc0.

Now it was running 6.3 (I think) since 2011. Or so says the install
log. I updated to 6.6 when I updated to myth 0.27.4.

I am *not* running devinput, but:

$ir-keytable
Found /sys/class/rc/rc0/ (/dev/input/event12) with:
Driver mceusb, table rc-rc6-mce
Supported protocols: NEC RC-5 RC-6 JVC SONY LIRC
Enabled protocols: LIRC
Repeat delay = 500 ms, repeat period = 33 ms

Now this is a *different* host than my second ECS Liva I've been
posting about. This is a standard Core2 Mobo with an Nvidia display.
