Okay, I ordered one. No shipping. Ebay takes a
credit card so protected there. Two weeks
though. Patience is good.
Ive seen them quicker then that maybe a week or so, but
what I like about them is they are pretty universal the IR
receivers work with just about any remote. I programmed
my main remote and never used the one that came with it.
I received my receiver and got it plugged into my new ECS Liva
running Fedora 21. It seems to get recogized:
However it doesn't load a kernel driver. Manually loading mceusb.ko
still doesn't create /dev/lirc0. So I haven't been able to test this
with irw:
Do I need to write a udev rule to create /dev/lirc0 for this device?
