It seems to me from what I am reading here that there are quite a few of us
who would be very interested in HDPVR2 support.

I am currently using an
HDPVR myself, and getting decent results overall. Yes, there are some
issues with it from time to time but overall I'm happy with it.

Having
the ability to get a more up-to-date model with HDMI input would be definitely
beneficial.

I think the biggest question (and one that the original
poster who was involved with a driver [sorry, I forget his name] didn't
mention) is how much would be necessary to do this work?

Setting up a
kickstarter or some other type of campaign to handle this would be a great
idea. I'd be happy to donate towards this, if we had some idea of how
much would be needed.

Then again, there was also a sub-thread in here
about an actual Hauppauge-written Linux driver.

I also am currently using an HDPVR that has been mostly stable
(aside from having to replace the power brick). I would be interested
in supporting development/release of a stable HDPVR2 solution for MythTV just
to ensure a solution for the eventual day when the HDPVR finally does give up
the ghost.
