I doubt it is QT for you say you can start and run mythtv-setup. Did you previously have a frontend with the same hostname? So then probably a setting from that old frontend is sabotaging your current one. For instance did that frontend have multiple screens? Anyway, if you now give your frontend another new name you start with all default settings.<br>

No, I actually dug through the settings table. It's a brand new hostname. All kinds of new settings were inserted under the new name.<br>

Solved it. Some sort of theme issue.<br>

I manually searched the settings table and found that the new host did not have a "Theme" entry. I manually inserted one for the host and filled it in with the theme I have used on my other front ends: Mythcenter-wide. The display now comes up.<br><br></blockquote><div>That's weird that it wasn't already set, but you didn't have to poke it into the database. You could have started with an override -O Theme=Mythcenter-wide (as shown in the wiki entry you linked to earlier), and then gone into the frontend Setup and selected a theme for permanent use.<br><br></div><div>Karl <br></div></div></div></div>
