<p dir="ltr">Thanks for the response. The machine shuts down without any problems. I also use the machine as a desktop and when I'm logged in I don't want the machine to shut down. I only want it to shut down when I'm logged out.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Pre-shutdown Check Command is supposed to keep it from shutting down of someone is logged on but it never executes and the machine shuts down interrupting what I'm doing. </p>

My backend doesn't seem to want to run the Pre-shutdown Check Command<br>

1st, I'd run: mythshutdown --check to see if there's anything running that<br>
would prevent shutdown. If that doesn't give you any hints, then with the<br>
backend running (and nothing else, like frontends/recording/<u></u>transcoding...)<br>
type:<br>
<br>
    mythbackend --setverbose idle,system<br>
    mythbackend --setloglevel debug<br>
    tailf /whereverYourBackendLogIs<br>
<br>
Expect to see idle countdown messages and then the system command that<br>
runs your script.<br>
<br>
Set the verbose level to general and the log level to info when you're<br>
all done.<br>
