I have a Samsung Note 4 and tried a few of the free IR Remote apps.<br>
Some didn't support the MCEUSB protocol, some did.  Generally the<br>
button layout was terrible, there were obnoxious ads, and it was less<br>
responsive than using mythmote over wifi, but it did work.  I could<br>
emit the IR signals which were picked up by my MCEUSB receiver and<br>
processed by mythfrontend.  I can't say I care to repeat the<br>
experience, though.<br>
