The menus are snappier, MKV DVD and BD rips play well; 720i and 1080i recordings play without issues. But, I've had a some problems with LiveTV and rebooting.<br>

1.)  Sometimes audio is garbled, just briefly, or when scrolling through the guide<br>
2.)  The ticker window on some news channels are jerky<br>
3.)  The little unit doesn't like to reboot successfully.  It will power cycle, come up to the ESC logo and just sit there, or sometimes it will try to boot with a kernel error of:<br>

I've used the current Ubuntu 14.04 Intel driver install package successfully from:<br>

Google suggests that using acpi=off noapic to fix, but it prevents the Liva from finding it's storage.<br>

</font></span></blockquote><div><br>You might try to upgrade your kernel if you can, just on general principle. I'm not aware of any specific fixes but generally things get better. I don't know if you saw my notes in a previous post, but I got Gentoo working well on this system. I haven't experienced any of the issues you've seen, but I haven't tried LiveTV (haven't used it for MythTV very much in fact; was working a long time getting the networking the way I wanted). Somehow in my recent fiddling I lost my HDMI audio and had to switch to analog, but the problem could be with my HDMI->composite converter. I haven't been motivated to investigate. Here are my video-relevant package versions:<br><br>[ebuild   R    ] media-libs/mesa-10.2.8  USE="classic dri3 egl gallium
