I have used the re-encoder only a few times, with UK DVB-T2 <br clear="none" class="" style="">h264 recordings, and I found that dropping the -copyts line worked, <br clear="none" class="" style="">while retaining it didn't. That appears to be situation with mpeg2 HD <br clear="none" class="" style="">material in the US, too. I suppose it's the result of changes in <br clear="none" class="" style="">ffmpeg/avconv.<br clear="none" class="" style=""><br clear="none" class="" style="">If it gets dropped I suppose people may create a DVD only to find that <br clear="none" class="" style="">it has A/V sync problems, although I haven't seen any report of that.<br clear="none" class=""
style=""><br clear="none" class="" style="">My preference is to record SD material that doesn't need re-encoding. <br clear="none" class="" style="">With HD material I would re-encode and/or cut outside MythArchive, so <br clear="none" class="" style="">that problems there can be detected early and problems arising later <br clear="none" class="" style="">don't need another re-encoding run.<br clear="none" class="" style=""><br clear="none" class="" style="">With that said, I think omitting the -copyts line makes sense. I have <br clear="none" class="" style="">it 'copied out' in all the profiles in ffmpeg_dvd_pal.xml and <br clear="none" class="" style="">ffmpeg_dvd_ntsc.xml<br clear="none" class="" style=""><br clear="none" class="" style=""><!--<br clear="none" class="" style=""> <parameter name="-copyts" value=""/><div class="" id="yqtfd32548" style=""><br clear="none" class=""
