Still use my userjob to cut commercials, but now I don't bother<br>
converting the streams from MPEG2, I just let the server transcode.<br>
Quality is less, but shows are available much quicker since I don't<br>
have to run them through Handbrake. Interface isn't very good. For<br>
shows I want to archive, I use the Mythlinks strategy and copy the<br>
files to my permanent library. This is acceptable.<br><div><div><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34)"></span></div></div></blockquote><div> </div><div>I record from Australian DVB-TV broadcasts which are MPEG2. Automatic commercial detection doesn't work very well on Aussie broadcasts so I won't use that part. I'm interested in using Plex as a way to watch MythTV on a mobile device. If the recordings aren't transcoded and left in their native MPEG2 format, does Plex allow you to skip forwards and backwards? If not then I think I'll want to find another solution - skipping is a must-have for me.</div><div><br></div></div></div></div>
