That is shockingly applicable to my situation. I hadn't even bothered to search because I understood the technical limitations and didn't hold out hope for a fix. And while the solution offered in that link does seem possible (and I do have an old PVR something or other I could dust off for this purpose) and it's darned impressive that the author of that page figured that out, I don't think it's worth the hassle for me.
