I’ve been using AVOGO to rip MP4 files but just too many
duds lately…..google is turning up nothing but pyramid
affiliate links…..so checking with the hive here as to what

Handbrake - works for every DVD that I have ripped. I use the
command line HandBrakeCLI, but there is also a GUI. You need to
install libdvdread4 and run install-css as follows, and also install
Handbrake. Use the latest Handbrake version from
ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases<br>

sudo apt-get install libdvdread4<br>
sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh<br>
