<p dir="ltr">Are you using storage groups? The alternate player
support will only work with the old direct file access. There
are work arounds but the best practice is always to fix the
problem not work around it.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I would first make sure you are using the latest
version available 0.27.3, you may find your problem has already
been fixed by the ffmpeg resyncs.</p>

I'm on 0.27.3 (mythbuntu)<br>

As far as I'm aware I'm not using storage groups, everything is just
in normal directories.<br>
But there are symlinks across drives.<br>
