Since the SD mechanism is changing Nov 1 and it's
unclear (to me) that future changes to myth will
handle the transition without significant effort by
users and I will be traveling for an extended time
over that period, I'm wondering if there is a viable
alternative to SD for US listings that I can use
until I return and have time adjust my myth backend.
I'm looking for something that I can setup now (and
test) before I leave and that has a good chance of
success of working unattended while I'm away.
You could set up manual recording rules (channel,
date, time, length, frequency) and not worry about the
listings while you are away.
Thanks but the listings are necessary to know when the
recordings should take place. I would like to use an
alternative listing mechanism not eschew listings
altogether.

Thanks but I'm trying to avoid using software that is under
development. I would like to use something that has been in use by
others for some time and is likely to remain stable for the next few
months. What alternatives to SD are there (if any) for the US
listings.
