Not all, but some. SD plays fine, so do every .mp4 files I've tried and the one .mkv file I played. However, liveTV that is HD stutters and .mpg (recorded shows) stutter if they are HD.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27014" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27016" dir="ltr">Using MythTV's Setup Wizard, the SD video test always runs fine. The HD test always stutters. I've tried every video profile available and they all stutter with HD, and all work fine on SD. I get no sound on either test. I'm not sure if that is right or not. The sound test works fine.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27138" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27136" dir="ltr">One thing I noticed when doing the testing is that my audio reciever, when successfully playing and HD title, shows "PCM" during playback. When I play an SD title, it shows "Dolby Digital". When I play a problem HD title or live HD TV, it shows "Dolby Digital", then when it stutters it changes to "Decoder Off", then changes to "PCM" quickly, then it goes back to "Dolby Digital" until the next stutter. So every time it stutters, it changes from "Dolby Digital" to "Decoder Off" to "PCM", then the stutter ends and it goes back to "Dolby Digital".</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27134" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27132" dir="ltr">While the playback is stuttering, I am getting the following type of messages:</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27130" dir="ltr">2014-09-30 13:36:43.479086 N Player(0): Waited 103ms for video buffers AAAAdAAAAAAAAA</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27128" dir="ltr">These waits are for anywhere from 102ms to about 310ms.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27126" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27114" dir="ltr">I noticed that when first playing one of these files, I got the following messages before the stuttering began:</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27123" dir="ltr">ALSA: Requested 500000us got 34133 buffer time</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27141" dir="ltr">ALSA: Try to manually increase audio buffer with: echo 128 | sudo tee /proc/asound/card0/pcm7p/sub0/prealloc</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27143" dir="ltr">ALSA: No playback control PCM found on mixer device default</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27145" dir="ltr">ALSA: Unable to open audio mixer. volume control disabled</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27160" dir="ltr">VDPAU: Added 2 output surfaces (total space 4, max space 4)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27147" dir="ltr">Then it starts with the "Waited XXXms for video buffers _________________"</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27157" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27156" dir="ltr">I tried running that command listed: "echo 128 | sudo tee /proc/asound/card0/pcm7p/sub0/prealloc"</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27273" dir="ltr">It got rid of that message and the one before it, but didn't get rid of the ones following it (the two ALSA messages).</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27275" dir="ltr">It also didn't change the "Waited XXXms" messages, nor did it stop the stuttering.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27277" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27214" dir="ltr">I thought, because of the messages and the receiver behavior that this might be a sound problem, so I looked at alsamixer. In alsamixer I am only showing one PCM volume bar and 4 SPDIF channels. I do not have the individual volume adjustments, but the only card available is, "0 NVIDIA....".</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27231" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1412015197423_27230" dir="ltr">FWIW, I checked CPU usage, and it's consistently less than 10%.
