</div>OPEX vs CAPEX. You would have to also include the time value<br>
of money, and the ROI in any investments. That is if you want<br>
a real economic answer, rather than a "feels good" answer that<br>
many will no doubt provide.<br>

</div>Any particular manufacture has had "bad designs" and "bad lots", and<br>
anecdotal evidence (even your own) is not something you should base<br>
your actions on. Real statistics based on actual root cause analysis<br>
(which you are likely to not be able to perform) is needed for rational<br>

Certainly with unlimited funds I would replace all my spinning rust<br>
with a ZFS RAIDZ3 FusionIO (or Violin) flash storage farm, just because<br>
I could (and it would be fabulous). But it would not be a rational choice,<br>
just a cool choice, to go along with my Gulfstream G650 (I did say<br>
