<div><br clear="none"></div><div>The tech he called seemed to know a great deal of knowledge on cable cards--the first words out his mouth were "they never set these things up right"--so I immediately started feeling more comfortable. After about 10 minutes, he got everything setup on his side then started telling us exactly what settings/pages to look at to see things flowing on the cable card interface. </div>
<div><br clear="none"></div><div>I saw in the ceton logs that CCI 00's were now being passed where CCI 02's were being sent for everything before, but MCE still wasn't picking anything up. After a little frustration I remembered reading about some little nuance/bug with ceton or MCE that required a full screen/tabbed screen flip to get MCE working, and sure enough, that did it. I don't know if that actually did it just a timing coincidence, but I didn't care.</div>
<div><br clear="none"></div><div>I pulled the card out of my win7 box, popped it into my linux mythtv box and it immediately worked. 6 tuner bliss.</div><div><br clear="none"></div><div>Appreciate all the help/sanity check's. I think it was Mike who originally pointed out the CCI 02's to me--so that gave me something to really key off of.</div>

I have comcrap and the ceton 4 port card. Works fine. No problems.
That being said, Perhaps your problem might be a bad cable card? I
have heard of that happening. Otherwise I would agree with the other
posters that its a comcrap screw up. Probably not paired correctly.
Perhaps as they were typing in the numbers they screwed it up? --

Even though I was on RCN instead of Comcast, the first cable card they issued appeared to be setup with RCN correctly, but I was not able to tune anything. They suggested I swap out the cable card, so off to RCN office I went. I swapped out cable card, went home and plugged it in, and it worked perfectly. So, either it was a failed pairing or a defective cable card, and the replacement card and process addressed the problem from there on out.</div>
