<div dir="ltr">This is all about personal preference. People love mythtv frontend because you can start watching tv on frontend (living room) and go to bedroom and pickup where you left off. You can watch movies shows listen to music. I believe myths needs face lift xbmc is beautiful and works on android (no mythtv) SO I can use my firetv boxes as media centers with xbmc and mythtv.. I like the fact that xbmc stores art on share and has database for movies shows and music. I use number of plugins to watch tv <a href="http://weeb.tv">weeb.tv</a> and many others those are not supported by mythtv. After we dont need to use mythtv at all nextpvr is stable and there are other linux choices that support recording of tv. Silicon dust makes mythv obsolete you can watch tv directly from it and you can record from it also.    <br>
