<div dir="ltr">Plex is a media streamer, so you take a computer with all your media on it, and it basically turns it into a web streaming server. So you can stream videos/music/ect. from the computer you install it on to other devices. MythTV is a DVR, so it will actually record television. MythTV also can be used to stream videos.. But Plex cannot record television.. </div>

Would anyone familiar with both Plex (or <a href="http://plex.tv" target="_blank">plex.tv</a>) AND MythTV care to explain to me the differences between the two?<br>

First point of confusion: Are they like comparing Apples and Apples, or Apples and Oranges?<br>
i.e.: Do they both do the same thing or do they do different things?<br>
