I did 'ss -tun | grep :6543' and saw another computer trying to connect. It is a computer with an old version of OpenElec (with the pvr/cmyth plugin) that thought it was off and disconnected so I totally forgot about it. <div>

<br><br></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Well, hopefully it did help. I got bit by the slave backend crashing the master bug a while back, so I know what it's like to have an unstable backend. Until it got fixed, I too had a process to restart the backend, but it's a hack for sure.</div>
