Been there, done that, got the tee shirt. Fortunately for me, my
father was a contractor, so I knew how to fix it, had many of the
parts available in his garage and the tools (some, I purchased, the
rest are his).<br>
The worst I had was a leak in a drain in the bathroom. It turned out
we still had lead drain pipes in the bathroom! All PVC now.<br>

My uncle had a plaque that read, "A boat is a hole in the water,
surrounded by wood, into which you pour money". A house is a cave,
surrounded by masonry, into which one pours even more money and
work.<br>
