Having read one of your replies to Phil I'm guessing that we have
a major disconnect in this dialog.
<br>
<br>
If you are using the Cmyth add-on in OpenELEC then you must also
have a MythTV backend installed and running on a different machine
from the one OpenELEC is on. If you have a MythTV backend running
on a different machine then the Config page of your Cmyth add-on
needs to have the correct details for that backend machine. Two of
the entries on that page are unique, the IP address of the machine
running the MythTV backend and the password for the database on
that machine.

Hello again,<br>
<br>
After I installed OpenElec on the Zotac box, I've added some
repositories and I've installed many addons etc. and these are
working fine, no problems at all.<br>
<br>
After a while I remembered that I have that USB tuner (Hauppauge
WinTV-HVR-950Q) and I thought that would be nice to use it in XBMC
to receive the over-the-air TV channels that are available in my
area. <br>
<br>
Then, I have installed (<u>through XBMC</u>) MythTV and MythTV cmyth
PVR Client the same way as any other addon. Both are on the same
machine, on Zotac. I have configured first MythTV cmyth PVR Client
(this is the backend, I guess) and then I configured MythTV
(frontend). I'm using the same IP address on both, backend and
frontend, the same database, the same username and password. When
I'm testing the settings I'm getting that "Connect to MySQL failed:
2003: Can't connect to MySQL server" message. <br>
<br>
I didn't install anything else, not MySQL or any other extra
file(s). <br>
<br>
I don't know what else should I do. I hope I was a little bit more
clear this time.<br>
<br>
Thank you in advance again for helping me out and I apologize if I'm
wasting your time. <br>
