Correct.

Mmm... I can't figure out how to do this. I'm using both the front end
and back end on a laptop without a remote so all my input is either
mouse of keypad/keyboard. The arrows and <ENTER> seem to be sufficient
to do most everything, but in the "watch recordings" screen there is no
apparent button or way to do do anything but selecting a recorded show
(with the arrow keys) or watch it (with <ENTER>. I've tried the <DEL>
and <BS> keys but they don't do anything.

<pre wrap=""> Deleting from the "Previous Recordings" screen just deletes the entry in
the "previous recordings" data base so that MythTV will no longer think
that that show was ever previously recorded. So if Myth is asked to
record that show again it will think that it was never previously recorded
and will thus record it again. Hence the message about just "removing the
entry and not the actual file".

Aah... Thanks. I keep learning...
The auto expire (I haven't touched the defaults) is not touching the
video files and the oldest one has been sitting there for 2 weeks now.
The disk is not full, so maybe that's the determining factor.

To delete a recording from the Watch Recordings screen, highlight
the recording and then press the m key (menu) to bring up a menu
that you can then arrow to the Delete entry and hit return.<br>
<br>
The m key works in lots of different places (including while you are
watching a recording) to bring up options. Sort of like right
clicking in your computer os.<br>
<br>
If you use Mythweb, you can see a complete list of key bindings. <br>
If you are on the same computer as the backend you can get to
Mythweb by opening a browser and going to:<br>

<br>
Key bindings might be on the wiki too, I haven't checked.<br>
