I may just need a reminder, but how do I set
up mythfilldatabase to run automatically?
Since upgrading to .27, it is not doing this
anymore. Fortunately, I noticed on
thanksgiving I had no data and ran it
manually, but would like to avoid this or
using the old cron job method.
Thanks

Check your backend status page
on mythweb. See if you have a message that it ran but
there were issues and no data was loaded. I have been
having that since upgrading to 0.27 and periodically
have to manually run it on the command line.<span

that it does not say when it will run again, which I
believe it used to do:
There's guide data until 2013-12-13 06:00:00 (10 days).
The frontend interface still reports when the next run is scheduled
for. In the frontend goto:
Information Center => System Status => Listings Status

In my case mythfilldatabase was running fine for months, then
suddenly stopped running and oddly the next scheduled date run time
was always 1 day in the past. Each day the scheduled run time was
updated but still a day old so mfdb never ran anymore.

I had the backend setup to use the suggested times from Schedules
Direct. What got it going again for me was to uncheck the "get
suggested time from grabber" box and set the guide data execution
window to 0 and 23 (max window size) and did a run manually. After
two days everything was back in sync. I reduced the window size to
0 and 7 and everything still works. I assume I could go back to
using suggested times, but I haven't tried that again.
