FWIW, you shouldn't use that as it's know to put in bad
information and not put in all required information. Watch
Recordings is a place where recordings made by MythTV--and
information inserted by MythTV about those recordings--is stored.

a livetv

directory and another file in a television directory.
Mythcommflag

some

entries for the recording in the database, however it's not

Have you checked what your group filter is set to? Media

Watch Recordings> M (or remote Menu key)> Change Group
Filter. I
think if you have it set to Default instead of All Programs, the
LiveTV recordings will not be listed. I do not have any LiveTV
recordings at the moment, but I think that when I do, there is
also a
LiveTV filter setting that shows up in the list to select.

In 0.27, the group filter setting is visible at the top of the
list of
programs, which I find very useful, having several times been
hunting
for a missing program because of a wrong group filter setting.

Yes, the problem is almost definitely that the recording was put
in the "wrong" recording group (Live TV) due to a known bug that
occurs when watching a show in Live TV that's also being
recording. MythTV will /never/ create a recording file and
"forget" to create a database entry. Also, if you still have the
file, that means there's still metadata for it in the database, so
it's just a matter of finding it. And, if you don't find it in
the Live TV group, check Deleted.

So, just switch to the Live TV (or Deleted)recording group, find
the show, then MENU|Storage Options|Change Recording Group.

If that doesn't work, the supported approach is not to cram
information into the database to put that recording into Watch
Recordings, but to move it (that video file) and any others you
want kept with it into the area of MythTV that allows you to
manage files/file names--the Video Library.

How does one move recordings to the Video Library?
