<div dir="ltr">I have just built MythTV 0.27 (and all of its plugins) from source for Slackware 14.1. Things seem to work so far, with one rather irritating exception.<div><br></div><div>I have a collection of Matroska files, many of them with embedded subtitles. When I play them under MythTV, the MythTV plugin for the job plays them correctly, and identifies the embedded subtitles. However, when I enable the subtitles they are never displayed, despite the fact that the internal MythTV player acknowledges that they are on. I tried with mplayer adn the subtitles are indeed displayed without any problems.</div>

Check the configure output. You will need a package like libass-devel to be installed on your system.</div>
