              Bring up the OSD playback data jitterometer when playing a
              problem<br>
              recording.. Check buffered data &amp; frame timing jitter.<br>

              Check log files.<br>
              <br>
              MythTV reacts very badly to video frame rate mismatch to
              video mode<br>
              refresh. But that should look much worse than mild
              jerkiness...<br>

    I had similar symptoms and this from the wiki helped me:<br>
    <br>
    "Go to Utilities / Setup -&gt; Setup -&gt; Appearance Go to the
    &#8220;Video Mode Settings&#8221; page, and check &#8220;Separate video modes for GUI
    and TV playback&#8221; "<br>
    It might need a restart of the Frontend if you change anything.<br>
