Hmmm... Perhaps my first move should just be to yank in the NVidia binary<br>

<br></div><div>As to the overscan in the frontend setup of MythTV, I've had problems getting that to work, too. I did have it working and then it didn't survive a system/mythtv update for some reason. The cool thing about the nVidia xorg.conf settings is that it affects all of X, not just MythTV. Your desktop icons are actually on the television screen. I was pretty amazed when I got this working on my television, because the overscan is really awful with it. I lose probably 30% of my screen off the edges.<br>
<br></div><div>You have the modeline. If you get that working, you've already done the hard part. The nVidia settings are not that hard to adjust to your liking, but you do need to be running the nVidia binary drivers.<br>
</div><div> <br></div><div>The Ubuntu link just deals with creating modelines for your xorg.conf. I thought it was universal, but it sounds like SUSE put a twist on things. I bet you could find someone in the SUSE camp who could straighten that out for you. At least the format of the line seems to be the same.<br>
