Hi Mike!

The setting your referring to has no effect on live tv... Only recordings... It is unchecked on my system... I WOULD LOVE to have this effect Live TV as well.. Any reason you can think of why it doesn't?

I have seen some discussion on the Live EPG having stutter in the live tv
window when navigating the guide (On my Atom 330 system - VDPAU - its
really unusable and kills the WAF… I would like to just disable the preview
all together, and or have it just play in the background and bring the
guide up as an overlay (just like the OSD guide when pressing up or down
arrow, but more of a fullscreen guide).
You mean like:

Continue playback when embedded
If enabled, TV playback continues when the TV window is embedded in the
upcoming program list or recorded list. The default is to pause the
recorded show when embedded.

in TV Playback settings? It defaults to disabled, but maybe you enabled
it?
This is live TV not a recording :) (I know I am "doing it wrong" but the

WAF depends on this as she loves to watch QVC etc.)
I did find this ( http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/11020 ) which looks
like the issue... I may try the patch on my atom front end...

Um, TV playback is TV playback and Live TV is recorded, too...

Did you even try changing the setting to see its effect?
