As a result, I have been running the 3.11 kernel (I have not figured out how to remove this kernel).<br>

I have found that with this kernel, using either .26 or .27 mythTV, the video is unwatchable with many dropped frames &<br>
stuttering audio, on any mythTV settings.<br>
If I catch the grub screen in time & select the 3.8.0-30-generic kernel, video is smooth.<br></blockquote><div><br><br></div><div>You can fiddle with grub and make that the default. I used to like the old grub, with the new one I have to google how to change it every time, so won't post a howto.<br>
<br></div><div>What I really wanted to say is that ATi/AMD graphics drivers seem to currently be a train wreck. I have read a lot about it on XBMC forums, and it is enough to confirm my view to stick to nvidia, or intel, or anything but AMD.<br>
