I did a series of Ubuntu / Mythtv upgrades this weekend on my combined FE/BE. Started as 7.04 / .20.2 which had been running great since being installed when those were current. I used do-release-upgrade to go to 7.10 (.21) and further to 8.04 (.21+fixes), testing my setup after each with no problems. Last night I went the next step to 10.04 (.23+fixes) and at the end I answered 'yes' to remove obsolete packages. I saw a few myth packages in the list, but assumed they were leftovers from .21+fixes. Apparently not since it removed mythtv-backend and mythtv-database, as well as a few inconsequential plug-ins (mythnews, mythweather, etc).

mysql is still installed (now at 5.1.70), mythv user and homedir still exist, as do my recordings.

So my questions:
1) Can I simply "apt-get install
mythtv-backend" and be whole? What about mythtv-database?
2) How can I determine whether mythconverg still exists and is at the correct version? (latest backup file I have is mythconverg-1214-20130805063609.sql.gz)
3) Is there anything else I should be wary about?

Here's the output of "dpkg -l | grep myth":
rc libmyth-0.20 0.20.2-0ubuntu10.1
rc libmyth-0.21-0 0.21.0+fixes18207-0ubuntu4~hardy1
