Hi,

When I watch liveTV on France 2 HD, it all works fine (except for
core dump on exit, see below). But if I schedule a manual recording,
then the recording doesn't have any audio. Even if I watch it while
it is still recording. If I record from liveTV, then go and watch
the recording as it still records, I have sound. The symptoms are
the same either when watched on the backend or a frontend. It really
seems to be related to the manual recording; but given that there is
no on-air program, I can only record using manual recording.
This only happens on some HD channels but is consistent. When it
happens, there is no audio menu available.

France 2 HD has the following characteristics based on MythTV :
E-AC-3 Dolby
5.1 audio
H.264 MPEG-4
1080i HD

It works correctly on Arte HD, though sometime the sound hiccups
when there is music playing. It has the following characteristics:
MP2 MPEG
Stereo Audio
H.264 MPEG-4
1080i HD

On the back-end server, when I exit from watching this channel
(France 2 HD, LiveTV) or a recording on that channel, then
mythfrontend always crashes after I exit. But it doesn't fail on a
frontend running the nearly same version of Linux connected to the
same backend.
Linux backend 3.8.0-25-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 6 20:47:30 UTC

I just upgraded to the release below and I get the same results.
On the backend, I'm connected using HDMI to the TV and the audio is
using the stereo output of the PC to the home cinema. On the
frontend, I'm using a DVI output and stereo speakers.

So what can I do about this?
