If you can't see why having (Single, Daily, Weekly, etc) then having a flag<br>

not sure what the point is of continuing this conversation. We went from a<br>
user having 8 options listed for a recording to 5. I'd argue that we should<br>
reduce that number further. If you think that it's easier to just have the<br>
extra recording rules (instead of flags), then why stop with the "this<br>
channel" rule? Lets also add rules for duplicate checking, HD vs SD, etc. I<br>
don't think having 50 schedule types is a better solution and I bet you<br>
would agree.<br>

As someone who used to design GUIs for a living the argument you give above is a little thin. You don't need a drop-down box for every single combination of circumstances.<br>
<br>
Under the Single, Daily, Weekly dropdown you need a two-position Radio Button: This Channel/Any Channel.<br>
<br>
For SD/HD you need a three-position radio button: SD/HD/Either.<span class=""><font color="#888888"><br>
