I solved it, finally. Well, to be precise, I made it go away without<br>
understanding what the issue was, but executing the lines from<br>
<a href="http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Troubleshooting:Unable_to_connect_to_the_master_backend_server" target="_blank">http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Troubleshooting:Unable_to_connect_to_the_master_backend_server</a><br>
made the problem go away.<br>
