I'm assuming that you have a cablecard installed in the ceton (rather than
using it for clear QAM without a cablecard...that makes configuration a bit
more tricky)

Go into mythtv-setup.
Create a new tuner, of type ceton. Provide the IP address of the device.
Specify the card number as RTP and whatever tuner you want to use (ex: 5).
Make sure you won't be interrupting Windows while it tries to record
something.
Create a brand new video source pointing to schedules direct
link that video source to the ceton tuner you created. Then choose to
"fetch channels" (do not try to scan...only fetch)
Run mythfilldatabase to populate the guide data (not sure if this is
necessary just for testing, but just to be safe...)
Go into live tv, switch to the ceton tuner, and see if channels work

hopefully I got all the steps correct there. I'm just going from memory, so
I might have screwed up a few of the button names or terminology.
Oops, sorry about top-posting.

Also, forgot to mention, make sure you restart mythbackend after making the
changes in mythtv-setup. If the above doesn't work, run the backend with
the channel, record verbose logging flags and give me the log output.

Hi All:

Using mythbuntu 12.04 with the latest fixes.

MythTV Version : v0.26.0-175-g7f71e02
MythTV Branch : fixes/0.26
Network Protocol : 75
Library API : 0.26.20130225-1
QT Version : 4.8.1
3.2.0-49-generic #75-Ubuntu SMP
Nvidia 4.304.88

Seperate frontend backends.

Last couple of weeks, while watching either live tv or a recording,
mythtv screen goes black and nothing responds. Could happen every 30
minutes, or sometimes it goes two days before it happens.
If I ssh in and try a reboot it just goes to single user mode, logs me
off and then I have to hit the power button and do a hard reboot.
Seems that the following is the relevant issue.

Decoder timed out waiting for free video buffers.

Any idea what might be going on? How to fix?

Yeah, I can manually schedule it just fine. So I guess I can set up the UK
grabber and check that out. I was just being cautious that it wouldn't
screw my other video source but from what you said about each source having
its own grabber, I should be just fine.
I was able to use the tv_grab_uk_rtgrabber to get the channel info which
loaded just fine...EXCEPT that the times are off. In other words, a 1pm
show in London is show up at 1pm in Toronto instead of at 7am my time.

I went into myth-setup and changed the time offset for the HLS recorder to
-5. The shows didn't change. Do I have to wait for a few more
mythfilldatabase runs before it readjusts?
