<div dir="ltr">I'm OK now, it was a combination of trying with a poor quality tablet (single core processor) and changing the IP address in mythtv to the PC's LAN IP . Solution Galaxy SII on LAN IP mythtv on default 127.0.0.1 , works occasionally on tab, great on SII. Thanks to all.<div>

</div></div>depending how the mythFE is setup; firewall? you'd need to add an<br>
exception for the LAN subnet on that TCP port (6543 i think?)<br>
with the 'unknown host' it sounds like mythmote hasnt been configured<br>
(or incorrectly configured); it won't auto-detect, you must tell it<br>
what your FE's are.<br>
