</div>Stick it back in the backend (or any computer with a direct SATA connection and run "smartctl -a /dev/sdx" - it'll tell you the state of the drive. You can't do this through SATA/USB (or SATA/Firewire) bridges as they don't seem to support SMART tools.<br>
