<div dir="ltr">That would be an excellent processor for a CHEAP backend/frontend machine. I use a G540 for the same purpose, and using the latest Intel drivers, I have smooth GPU decoded video. The deinterlacing leaves a bit to be desired, but its great for it's intended purpose (occasional watching in my den/office on a 20inch monitor).<div>
<br></div><div style>Keep in mind the following:</div><div style><br></div><div style>1. Intel GPU decoding will not even come close to NVidia in quality. Fine for casual watching, but I wouldn't want it in my home theater.</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>2. The processor will likely not be able to handle realtime transcoding of some material for HLS use (watching on mobile devices).</div><div style><br></div><div style>3. You can probably only handle 1 or 2 realtime commflag jobs.</div>
