        <br>

            I did go in and updated my hosts files on my m<font
              size="+1">yth<font size="+1">tv box<font size="+1"> and
                  firewall<font size="+1">/<font size="+1">router box to
                      reflect the ip of the smartphone. <br>

                      <font size="+1">Using Mythtv for android, I
                        installed vplayer and had to manually configure
                        the address instead of having it scan for
                        backends. The scan for backends for some r<font
                          size="+1">eason does not work for me. But<font
                            size="+1">, After manually configur<font
                              size="+1">ing this (which I tried before
                              and didnt work<font size="+1">) it
                                actually started working!<br>

                                  playback on my Galaxy II is pretty
                                  darn good. No sync <font size="+1">problems.
