I have a newly installed mythbuntu 12.04.02 and I was trying to the install server-xorg-dev package to fix the keycodes > 255 issue for my remote. </div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: 'times new roman', 'new york', times, serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; "><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: 'times new roman', 'new york', times, serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; ">After installing the package, I no longer have a gui desktop. Even after purging the
package and running autoremove, I still am left without one. After a bit of troubleshooting I noticed in the apt log that the xserver-xorg-dev package is causing the mythbuntu-desktop package to be removed (see below). I assume this is what's causing my issue.
