Everything seems to be going smoothly about 2 months in, but I find myself increasingly aggravated with the remote control situation.</div><div style><br></div><div style>I have completed removed LIRC, since it seems to be deprecated. I have mapped the keystrokes that I need from my old gray hauppauge remote. But I get bad repeat button presses when I push the same button too quickly on the remote. So if I push down twice too quickly, then the selection will move down four or five times.</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>This evening, I even removed all the ir kernel modules except ir_kbd_i2c, to no avail. I&#39;m really at a loss. My mother-in-law is visiting right now, and I&#39;m embarrassed to have to explain why the TV is so damn finicky.</div>
