Hi guys,<br><br>This turned out to be an error in the way I had programmed my python script - the logic to select programs to record was faulty.<br><br>Thought I would update here in case someone runs across something similar and mistakes it to be a partial recording issue like I did.<br>

that maybe that would trigger recording to begin but to no avail.<br><br>I suspect this falls in the realm of partial recordings. My limited reading suggests mythtv doesn't like partial recordings. <br><br>I can go into the mythfrontend and start recording for this program and the recording commences however I would rather not have to do this manually and would like it automated using scripts and my logic.<br>
<br>I would appreciate if someone could help me with the following :<br><br>- Am I correct in my assumption that this is mythtv refusing to record a partial recording?<br><br>- Does mythtv (0.23) have some sort of logic in built that tells it that if the show has just started airing or if it would still get most of the recording, then recording should go on? If someone could point me to the logic mythtv decides when it is safe to go ahead recording and when it should skip recording I would sincerely appreciate it.<br>
