Thank you for the useful feedback. Based on the recommendations in this thread, I updated my setup so that my CPU usage is at Medium, and my maximum simultaneous jobs is at 6. I chose 6 since I have it configured to look up metadata as well as commflagging (2 jobs per recording). Recording 3 shows simultaneously yields about 15% CPU usage, and around 8-15MB/s on the disk.<br>
<br>Is there a way of postponing the metadata jobs, or assigning a higher priority towards commflagging over metadata? If so, then I should be able to lower the number of jobs from 6 to 3. Otherwise, it seems like that is the best solution for my setup.<br>

See the link I quoted. It says that there's work being done...</blockquote><div><br></div></div><div>Ahh... I never looked at the link because I thought it was to help me "<span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">make sure the number of jobs and the CPU usage settings are correct", which I wasn't going to address at the moment</span>. Glad to know that I'm not completely off base with my hope for a smarter job scheduler. Thanks.</div>
