Whatever method you do, you do *not* want to reformat your volume, ever. That is a sure way to lose your data!<br>

What you need to do is to recreate the information in the partition table so that it replicates what was there before. Others have given suggestions how that can be done.<br>

Definitely a good point to make--just in case--but I'm guessing he meant, "set the partition type to JFS." Still, it's good to get the proper terminology and warnings into the archives. :)<br>
