Jon,<br>
<br>
I just want to verify is issue I have on iPad4/OSX 10.8.3 an my setup problem or rather latest iOS/OSX problem.<br>
<br>
Namely: is "RW/FF in progress" working correctly for current Apple OSes like on iPad4 (iOS 6.0.1)/Mac (ML10.8.2)?<br>
<br>
Just to be sure what I understood as "RW/FF in progress":<br>
-user asks or playback<br>
-be starting HLS transcoding<br>
-user taps for playback<br>
-player allows RW/FF for all positions between start<->so far transcoded position<br>
<br>
I saw iPad1 has label "fully working".<br>
On iPad4 I can do fully RW/FF - but only for finished transcodes.<br>
For in-progress transcodes, iPad4 starts playback always on end of currently available transcode.<br>
If user tries RW/FF - slider always returns to end of currently available transcode :-(<br>
<br>
By curiosity I checked this on Torc for Myth on iPad4 - and here RW/FF in progress works as expected. This tells me my 0.26-fixes HLS infrastructure should be rather OK.<br>
Torc is standalone app, while mobilemyth uses iOS/OSX Safari as player - so maybe here is root issue ?<br>
I'm wonder Your opinion here...<br>
br<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Huh that is weird. I happen to have the iPad sitting down here by me so I just tried it again. Our Kindle 8.9" gets used much more so wanted to double check. I am still able to skip all around an in progress transcode. When I first hit play it starts at the current transcode point since it is a "Live" video stream, but I am able to rewind/skip around all I want. Since it is a iPad 1 am stuck on 5.1.1 but I wouldn't think that should change in newer versions. Also I would assume the player that Torc is presenting is the same built in player that safari is using so that should not make a difference. I am on .26 now (may have been on .25.3 when I did all the testing I don't remember) so that is in the same. </div>
<div><br></div><div>Anyone else have results on a newer iPad they can report?</div><div><br></div><div>Jon</div></div>
