Hmm, I've been seeing that as well as the flashing (don't recall both<br>
at the same time, but I stop watching immediately on the flashing). My<br>
ghosting, when it happens, is pretty bad, sometimes enough to bin the<br>
recording and try to catch a repeat.<br>

I'll have to have a look at the ventilation, as (as I've said<br>
elsewhere in the thread) I'm still on older ivtv drivers (CentOS-5) and<br>
Myth 0.24-fixes.<br>

OK I've finally gotten around to replacing the bad capacitors on my<br>
PVR-350.<br>

After about 24 hours, the good news is that the ghosting and flashing<br>
seem to be gone. I'm still keeping it well ventilated for a while<br>
longer, just to be sure.<br>

The bad news is that the ivtv driver just decided to unload/re-load<br>
itself again.<br>
<br>
So I guess I am back in the camp of suffering from the same problem as<br>
some others seem to be. I don't know if it's a combination of this<br>
kernel, and Fedora release (17) or what, but it's no fun having to<br>
baby-sit the backend and re-load the driver when it dies.<br>
<br>
I'll see if I can find the address for the ivtv mailing list and ask<br>
there, since my problem seems to have shifted there.<br>

BTW, I applied this patch to my system running 25.2 from RPMFusion - it seems to work perfectly, restoring my system's reliability. No recording failures on my PVR-350 since I applied it on November 11th.<br>

Thanks for the update. I have been considering making the leap to .26 just because of this bug. As someone who has never built mythtv , how hard is that to accomplish? Is it possible to do a build of just that file and replace the file that is part of the atrpms package? For that matter could I take a version from someone elses system running the same kernel and just replace with that?<div class="HOEnZb">
