Hi,

I am a first time user of MythTV and I am trying to setup MythTV 0.26 with Ceton InfiniTV 4 card.
So far everything seems to work Ok, except for channels I am not subscribed to.

At the moment I am running both the backend and the frontend from a terminal consoles so I can see the outputs.

When I watch live TV and if I switch to one of those channels, the frontend displays the channel name and a black background. Then it becomes unresponsive - trying to change channel or exit from live TV - nothing works.
Only killing the frontend helps.

When the above happens, in the terminal where I started the frontend from, I can see it keeps printing the following:
...
2012-12-04 06:43:52.775102 I RingBuf(/mnt/var/mythtv/storage/default/1617_20121204114349.mpg): Waited 0.2 seconds for data
to become available... 0 < 32768
2012-12-04 06:43:56.616141 I RingBuf(/mnt/var/mythtv/storage/default/1617_20121204114349.mpg): Waited 0.2 seconds for data
to become available... 12696 < 32768
2012-12-04 06:44:04.549194 I RingBuf(/mnt/var/mythtv/storage/default/1617_20121204114349.mpg): Waited 0.2 seconds for data
to become available... 11320 < 32768
2012-12-04 06:44:05.838120 I RingBuf(/mnt/var/mythtv/storage/default/1617_20121204114349.mpg): Waited 0.2 seconds for data
to become available... 0 < 32768
2012-12-04 06:44:07.975161 I RingBuf(/mnt/var/mythtv/storage/default/1617_20121204114349.mpg): Waited 0.2 seconds for data
to become available... 0 < 32768
2012-12-04 06:44:16.546169 I RingBuf(/mnt/var/mythtv/storage/default/1617_20121204114349.mpg): Waited 0.2 seconds for data
to become available... 0 < 32768
2012-12-04 06:44:28.558207 I RingBuf(/mnt/var/mythtv/storage/default/1617_20121204114349.mpg): Waited 0.2 seconds for data
to become available... 11344 < 32768

In the backend terminal console nothing unusual is printed.

When I look at the channel map
(http://192.168.200.1/view_channel_map.cgi?page=0), the Ceton card lists all channels available with my provider, including the
ones I am not subscribed for.

How can I fix/troubleshoot this?

One way would be to go through the channels and manually mark the ones I am not subscribed to ... however this does not seem as a good long term solution as it will require manually keeping in sync with whatever channel changes the provider makes.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

D
