<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">So I read back in in 2010 users were having issues with audio with the <span>Hauppauge</span> 1600. One solution was to rmmod/modprobe the cx18 driver.<br>So I tried to rmmod cx18 but then in complained that it was in uses by cx18_alsa (I am doing this from memory so the driver name may not be correct) So did rmmod cx18_alsa which worked. Then I did another rmmod cx18 and that worked. So then I did a modprobe on cx18_alsa which never came back aka sat at the command prompt without a response. Same thing happen with the modprobe cx18. So I just rebooted the machine.<br>Wanted to make sure my original 1600 worked and it did. To my surprise, when I tried the new 1600 it worked also. This surprised me so much that I started to recording on both cards then when into "<span>recordings</span>" and audio was
