I have an Ubuntu 12.04 backend running mythtv 0.25 and frontends
on other Ubuntu 12.04 systems, all working fine.
I downloaded the 32-bit windows build from
sourceforge.net/projects/mythtvwindows/ and installed on a laptop
running windows 7, 32 bit.
It connects to the backend with no problems and I can see the list
of recordings. However as soon as I try to play anything the
frontend crashes and shuts down.
See problem report below. Any ideas on what I can do to get around
this? I have tried some different video settings, but I think the
problem is with decoding the recording. The recordings are all mpg
files from digital TV, DVB and Firewire.
I can't reproduce this with the latest 32bit (though I don't have a
32bit win7 machine to test on)

Are you using the latest version / keeping them updated? Is it one
recording/all?
I recently had weird stuff happening with which compiler the
autobuilds were using.

Also, what cpu is this running on? I don't know how exactly it
affects things, but i think the configure script enables processor
optimisations, which would have to be based on my sandy bridge i7
where the builds are cross compiled.

Given that its happening on an ffmpeg library, it may be a decoding
error. I would suggest trying to play it in vlc and see if it
crashes (could just be myth's version of the lib tho)

For the record, things like this may be better suited to the tracker
on sourceforge (there are a few patches that are added before
compilation). I set up email notifications on it today so I should
now be notified when an issue is posted.
